Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, known as DOGE, played a crucial role in shutting down the agency earlier this February.

At 69 years old, Gates didn’t mince words when criticizing the decision, warning that Musk’s behavior might lead to a return of fatal illnesses such as measles, HIV, and polio.

“As depicted by the Financial Times, Gates commented that ‘the image of the wealthiest individual harming the most destitute children worldwide is far from appealing,'” he stated.

He went even farther, hoping that Musk would see firsthand the impact of his choices: “It would be great if he could meet the children who were infected with HIV due to those funds being cut,” stated Gates.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates revealed on Thursday that he plans to donate his remaining wealth to his nonprofit foundation over the next two decades.

The announcement was made during interviews with the Financial Times and The New York Times, as well as through a comprehensive blog post on the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s website, coinciding with their 25th anniversary of operation.

The generous millionaire additionally declared that the organization will conclude its activities by December 31, 2045, sooner than originally expected.

“Many people will have plenty to say about me after I pass away, however, I’m resolved that ‘he passed away wealthy’ won’t be among those statements,” Gates wrote in the blog post.

I have too many urgent matters to tackle to keep resources that could instead be utilized to help others.

“That is why I have decided to return my wealth to society much quicker than I had originally planned,” he noted.

In February, Gates met with President Donald Trump at the White House to lobby for the continuance of foreign aid funds via USAID.

After his discussion with the President, Gates was featured on NBC’s “TODAY” program, warning about the difficulties involved in duplicating USAID’s efforts.
