Priced at just $35, the Gamesir X5 Lite proves that affordable mobile gaming controllers can still pack in useful features and great ergonomics.

For many years, I’ve been interested in delving deeper into mobile gaming, however, I’ve always found touchscreen controls unenjoyable. In contrast, physical buttons provide much greater satisfaction due to their tangible feedback which current touch interfaces can’t replicate. Over the last few years, Gamesir has been working on different types of controller attachments, and their most recent product is known as the X5 Lite.

Priced at only $35, the Gamesir X5 Lite occupies the lowermost tier within the brand’s range.

Regarding the buttons, the Gamesir X5 Lite includes a regular D-pad alongside ABXY buttons and two Hall effect sensor analog sticks. It also comes equipped with dual shoulder and trigger buttons. Switching between OS compatibility with the Gamesir X5 Lite is as simple as holding two buttons for a few seconds, and I could easily toggle between whichever type of device I wanted to use.
