With AI technology becoming more advanced, a nearby security company is aiding small enterprises in utilizing this tool for protection.

Austin Smith, who co-owns
OneWatch
says his firm has incorporated AI into a novel surveillance monitoring command center, setting a pioneering precedent in Indiana. He believes that AI can revolutionize operations when seamlessly integrated into an extensive system.

Smith says using AI security helps companies monitor for on-site loitering, trespassing, illegal dumping, and more. More than that, he says the technology can be “totally customizable” and even count the number of people walking in and out of a business. “You don’t have to monitor a thousand cameras.”

The updated OneWatch control hub features an artificial intelligence-driven interface that handles notifications, provides instant feedback, and can simultaneously contact several emergency services when required. According to Smith, this assists businesses in cutting costs. He explains, “This allows for improved operational effectiveness.”

Smith mentions that OneWatch can tailor an AI security dashboard specifically for small businesses. He recounted a recent event where this advanced tech was employed to prevent a $100,000 theft from occurring. “Our mission,” he stated emphatically, “is precisely about providing such protection.”

Later this year, Smith says OneWatch will give away 100 AI cameras to small businesses in underserved communities across Indianapolis.
